The art program is designed to stretch the imagination and develop the creativity that is within every person. Children in the Primary Programs engage in a wide scope of activities within their classroom setting and with our Art instructor. The activities and materials selected draw from the young child’s interests in color, texture, shapes and the natural drive to express these freely using a rich variety of developmentally inviting materials.
Students in the Kindergarten through Lower Elementary levels attend weekly scheduled art classes. Projects in the Art Room are open-ended starting points for students to express their ideas. Projects sometimes relate to studies in other subject areas, including culture, math and science.
We provide many opportunities throughout the year for them to share their art pieces with their peers and with the larger community.
