About Me

Affordable, Tri-lingual Private Academy

We are a non-profit, authentic Montessori School. We would like to create an ethnically, culturally, and socioeconomically classroom community that represents the demographics of Quincy and its surrounding towns. Our mission is to bring Montessori to families that would not otherwise have the ability to afford it. Along with quality Montessori curriculum, we will offer music, art, and yoga.

Our Educational Mission

The goal of the Lotus Montessori Academy team is to develop the whole personality of the child using the Montessori method which is based on a strong belief in the spontaneous working of the human intellect. Three of primary principles of Montessori education are observation, individual liberty, and the preparation of the environment. Lotus Montessori Academy utilized these principles to create an ideal learning environment for your child. We have modernized Primary, Kindergarten, and Elementary classrooms with child sized furniture and didactic materials first introduced by Dr. Maria Montessori. Our adherence to current concepts as individualized learning and readiness programs, manipulative learning, ungraded classes, combined age groups, team teaching, and open classrooms reflect many of Dr. Montessori's scientific insights. Lotus Montessori Academy strives to meet all of the above needs and we also teach children an "I can do it" attitude that will ensure their future success in all aspects of their life. Parents of our students can feel safe and secure leaving their children in an environment that provides for all of their academic, social, and emotional needs. Our commitment to small student to teacher ratios makes this possible!

Primary Community Ages 2.9-5

Primary community – also known as Children’s House- is the stage where children are fairly independent. The classroom environment includes a large spectrum of manipulative materials for learning practical life skills, refining sensory discrimination, enhancing language skills, learning mathematics, and learning cultural subjects. Children have a different experience every year as the role based on age and knowledge changes. The teacher is a catalyst stimulating new interests in new carefully chosen concepts and materials and allowing children to explore.
